FormationIQ enables a new approach to battery cell activation by moving beyond conventional CC/CV-based formation strategies

Through integrated sensing and advanced control algorithms, formation protocols can be tailored to the specific behavior of each cell. This allows dynamic adjustment of current profiles, leading to significantly reduced formation times while maintaining or even improving cell quality.

By actively monitoring and controlling the formation process, critical parameters such as SEI layer formation can be influenced in a targeted way. The result is a more stable and homogeneous cell population with reduced variability and improved long-term performance.
